Press release as of 13/01/10 3:00am:

The English Defence League and Youth would like to announce victory over the group Islam4UK (Al-Muhajiroun: “The group became notorious for its conference "The Magnificent 19", praising the September 11, 2001 attacks”).

After Islam4uk was banned after trying to march upon Wootton Bassett “An Islamic group, Islam4UK, had planned to disrupt the town’s tribute by carrying 500 empty coffins through Wootton Bassett, saying they would represent Muslim victims of the Afghanistan conflict”

Here at the English Defence Youth would like to say we shall never surrender to the rising rates of Jihad in the United Kingdom and although Anjem Choudary and he’s pack of morons have been banned, if he is to stage any more events under any name or organization the English Defence Youth and League will be there to oppose he’s evil jihadist views.

DAILY STAR September 23 2009

Case for the Defence

The English Defence League stepped forward yesterday in a show of strength against critics. The Daily Star obtained these pictures of the group which claims to defend British values against Muslim extremists.Around 20 men posed in uniforms but kept their faces hidden under balaclavas for fear of reprisals.
The group, which included several black members, burned a swastika flag to give an apparent message that they oppose Nazis and racists as much as al-Qaida hate mongers. The masked men evoked memories of past pictures of paramilitary groups in Northern Ireland.
The EDL formed in response to Muslim protesters who taunted and abused British soldiers at a home-coming parade in Luton in March. It's demos saw violent clashes in the Bedfordshire town and Birmingham-with more protests planned.
After opponents, including Communities Minister John Denham, branded them far-right they have produced this flag burning film to deny the claims.
An EDL spokesman said: "We are not racist. We've made this film with our black members, and we also welcome any moderate Muslims. Our message is also for the
BNP,because a few right-wing extremists have unfortunately tried tagging on to us when they weren't welcome. If we see them and they give Nazi salutes we will kick them out in no uncertain terms.Unfortunately we have to cover our faces because we are labelled as something we are not.We all live in Muslim neighbourhoods where our faces would be recognised. We agree there's no place for extremism or racism, yet this Government lets extremists like Anjem Choudary freely stir people up with inflammatary outbursts. We want to show the likes of Choudary their days are numbered. Why don't those attacking us join us in demanding Muslim extremists are kicked out?"
The EDL plans to post it's five minute video on YouTube on Friday.A Communities and Local Government spokesman said last night: "John Denham is less interested in who the EDL are than what they do.He made it clear that fundamental issues arising in a society of many cultures should and could be openly debated, but this did not justify provocation"

DAILY STAR September 24 2009

All Colours and Creeds are backing crusade.

The English Defence League last night claimed it had been swamped with messages of support from all races. And the masked men also said followers of Islam had contacted the EDL after the group produced a video proclaiming it is "anti-fascist".
The EDL,which claims it is defending British values against Muslim extremism, received hundreds of new registrations and postings on its website.Yesterday the Daily Star revealed exclusive photos of the group's swastika-burning video, which was its response to critics who say the organisation's true motives can be compared to the Nazis.
The EDL said its campaign is only against hate-preaching fanatics, terrorists and Sharia Law.It says it has wrongly been linked with the far-right and BNP and only calls for integration. It said moderate Muslims were welcome in the country.
An EDL spokesman said, "The article about our activities has produced an amazing response. We've had Sikhs,Hindus, black people,Jews and even Muslims contacting us.Quite a few said they had gone to our website for the first time and, after reading our views and aims, realised they previously had the wrong impression about us.They saw we want peaceful protest against extremism and said they agree with what we stand for. Many seemed please that they'd found someone who stood up for what they feel."
Meanwhile,it emerged that a Scottish Defence League and a Welsh Defence League have also been formed. And new plans were being made yesterday for EDL demonstrations in Stoke and Oldham to add to the six already arranged across the country for the coming months.
On the EDL website, one Libyan-born Muslim who converted to Christianity in 2006 claimed he had been attacked for expressing his views on Islam while in a British immigration detention centre. He said he had hospital records to prove it. The EDL spokesman said, "That's the sort of intolerance we are campaigning against. We agree with people having their own religions but they should accept others and fully integrate into the UK."
But last night Unite Against Fascism dismissed the EDL's claims.A spokesman said "We don't believe their claims. They go to multi-racial areas in an attempt to provoke a response. The EDL is looking for an excuse, which they say is silencing extremists and stopping terrorists."

EDY:Since the UAF's lies that the EDL had no black members and was a racist group were exposed, they have now resorted to 'thought Police' tactics. No matter what you state your views or beliefs to be,the UAF's new argument and reason to attack  a group is; 'we don't believe you'.UAF-Unite Against Freedom.

MUSLIM DEBATE INITIATIVE
London WC1
December 10 2009

"The EDY, were invited briefly to speak on behalf of the EDL and although giving a short and brief statement done the EDL proud. One heckle/call from an Islamic extremist in the upper balcony calling him a fascist raised some eyebrows, but when you looked at the heckler and realised his true insignificance as a member of English society, you could not but respect the fact that EDY spoke for the majority of English youth and their statement that the English youth are rising in the form of the EDL was clearly illustrated. One has to hope that the EDL now get it together and cast out the racists in their midst such as the BNP and C18 thugs who try to steal the limelight on the protest marches, for the EDL are possibly the English electorate of the future and should not be ignored any more by government."
